I honestly don't see how they're Sues. Especially Luna, considering the size of her fanbase. Meaning, Luna wouldn't be as popular as she is if she was one. True, Celestia's in the same boat, but Luna's more popular, hence why I'm bringing her up. Mary Sues generally aren't very well liked by anyone except the person who made them. Of course, that isn't to say Mary Sues aren't without fans themselves, since there are characters that are seen as Sues in some people's eyes and perfectly fine in other people's eyes. Considering the fanbases of both princesses, anon 1161428 is the first instance where I've seen anyone that hates both of them and give them the Sue label, which suggests they're well-written enough that any haters of both is a general minority. |
