It's funny how many people whine over that weapon like it's harder to get around compared to the Degreaser. Lack of Airblast ( probably it's biggest down fall ), the taunt makes it pretty obvious to back peddle away ( and funny enough, people still rush you when you taunt... Talk about failure unless your a spy going for a backstab ).

phlog is not op. it just takes no skill, a deggreser pyro takes skill becuse of airblast and weapon switching. the phlog encourages w + m1 playing, but then again if youre a w + m1 pyro then why not use the gas jockey set, which makes it so you have a minus 17.5 health stat versus half of the classes and 10% faster movement. so when using the gas jockey set only 2 classes can escape you, and also have faster wep switching, and the icing on the cake, you can still airblast, also you can still eqstingguish other players without a manmelter. so in short the phlog is far from op, and also that the gas jockey set is fantastic for w + m1 pyros and even regular pyros. also if you run up to a phlog pyro whose taunting, you deserve to die. spy is my main class, and i can say that i think pyro is a fair class, besides a pyros crits is a heavys damage point blank. |

^ The Gas Jockey set requires a hat, which the community and Valve have agreed is bullshit for a set bonus. While it is a surprise to find a Pyro with the whole set, it's far from superior.

If the Phlog is balanced I'm the fucking blue fairy, remove the 90% damage resistance and POOF all the problems are gone, you could stand right in front of a BB heavy then piss on his corpse! It also encourages lone wolf style play, making it damn near impossible to push a cart or cap a point, everyone just cares about their fucking K/D ratio and the damn score board. |

Phlog aren't too OP.
You're still vulnerable to backstabs (obvious). And after the Taunt, the Pyro only have like, 2 seconds (?) under Heavy's fire to get a kill and run like hell. Also, why don't use the Stock Flamethrower? It has no downside whatsoever. Degreaser is a gold for those Pyros who likes to bully Med-Hev Shipping. Airblast > Reserve Shooter > Rinse & Repeat. |

Stop complaining. It's your fault for not running away when I taunt. You could all be out of range if you were smart enough to realize what's gonna happen when I'm done. Idiots. As for the Gas Jockey, I find that to be a useful item set. I can get those blasted Scouts who are usualy too fast. The 10% Bullet damage is a bitch, though. Natascha Heavies are a Gas Jockey's bane. So, please, don't get on Pyros just because you can't think well enough to find a strategy to kill them. There are ways, believe me. |
