The Titans created the universe. They were ruthless killing machines. Zeus and his brothers and sisters set out to top them and take control of the universe for themselves. They would promote harmony.

OOOHH!!!! Now imaging the night sky in Equestria... What if it isn't the sky, but rather the ceiling of Hades. Luna uses her magic to make it beautiful and interesting. As for Celestia, since the Sun of Apollo can not shine in Hades, Celestia uses her magic to light the cavern they reside in. Also explains why everything has to be done manually.... The gods don't work down there so the inhabitants have to do the work of the gods themselves... The Everfree Forrest is a boundary between the surface world and Hades... Hence the different magic.

The problem with this is that Cerberus guards the gates of Hades, not Tartarus, and so putting Equestria as the Elysian Fields would put Cerberus outside Equestria, with Tartarus further below.

It's consistent with myth, however, that Cerberus guards Tartarus, of course along with the rest of Hades. But Twi would be worried about escapees from Tartarus, not the rest of the dead.

^ Are you serious? It's supposed to be fun! Not to be taken literally. Anyways, I study Mythology for a living. So please don't debate unless you have. or are studying it too.

Anyways, the fields and the abyss are separated and the inhabitants of both have no access to each other. So the Elysian Fields have no worries about intruders. Cerberus Gaurds the Gates of Hades. Including the Tartarus Gate, and the main entrance. As they are a part of Hades.

I knew most of that, still, I don't think just cause Tartarus is in hades means that Equestria is in hades
That's like saying "Chicago is in America, Madagascare may just be a place in America"

How about this: Orion appears not just in our sky, but I have also seen it in Zelda, various animes, and I need to check the night scenes, but I think somebody said Orion was in Equestria's sky, too.

Now, across these worlds of the multiverse, they're different, or may be tweaked, but the Laws of Nature are similar, if not the same.

Now, asuming that the laws of physics have relatively the same rules as in this universe, then all those other Big Bangs would result in universes that have similar results, in the position of celestial bodies for example.

Ergo; a universe with physical laws similar to ours will/is very likeley to have "an" Orion, visible from "a" 3rd planet orbiting a yellow star. Said planet is very likely to have the conditions for carbon-based life. The smallest difference, or perhaps even none at all, can't accuratley predict every random outcome, so while it is, in fact, Earth life, evolution may take a different path.
Therefore, ponies.

Honestly the first thing I thought when I heard Twilight Sparkle say tartarus, was how weird it sounded.. then i thought 'oh shit, persona 3 art incoming' yet none to be had. I'm slightly disapoint.
