| GreyAcumane #1127867 4 months ago |
actually, this makes even more sense than anyone realizes.
If you've noticed, pony outfits always seem to include front shoes, but not rear shoes. If this method was actually how ponies held things, then this soft pad would likely only exist on their front hooves for grasping, while their rear hooves retained a normal hoof, allowing them to deliver powerfully hard kicks. That's why their shoes are only made to cover the soft front hoof instead of the back ones too. |

@GreyAcumane
I think the front pads would need to be durable though considering how quadrapedal everyone but Lyra is. |

@GreyAcumane
HOLY...When I first saw this picture I took it as referring to their mouths but then I read your comment and realized that their hooves could work lie this without becoming too visibly distorted... ![]() |

| Shader #1129219 4 months ago |
Actually, the majority of the time they pick something up with their forelimbs, they're wrapping their ankle around it.
Like wrapping your elbow around an object to hold it. |
| Xuncu #1132506 4 months ago |
^Well, with only some innacuracy, their 'ankle' is more corresponding to our knuckle. One knuckle. |
