I think they're specifically whining about bronies who ARE obnoxious drama whores it says right there that they're for people who are sick of 'rabid fans' and that non-rabid fans of the show can join as well
Also just because you are something doesn't mean you can't complain about some others being it, ex. I'm somewhat of a hypocrite I don't like others being hypocrites |

Braeburn: Of course. The problem is that the most annoying fans are always the most outspoken, so that's all anybody ever sees of a fandom.
I have a few friends who are furries; they're cool people. Of course, there are the creepy ones that want you to have fursuit sex with them and gross everybody out. The same goes for bronies. And while not many bronies are furries, many bronies are obnoxious in that they try to force the show on others (I was guilty of this when I first became a fan...). Ah well, the world is crazy. Ignore haters and continue on your merry way. |

Some people are obnoxious faggots who live and die by the "stop not liking what I like" ethos. Some people are agreeable peacemakers who respect the tastes and peeves of others. Such people of either type are in the furry community. Such people of either type are in the brony community. Being a member of a certain subculture does not in itself determine what sort of person you are. Just a crackpot theory. |

I think you could attribute some of the forcing it on people the obnoxiousness on the whole "troll" material of ponies.
I'm not saying it's purely the case but I've been pondering about this for awhile now and that's one of the conclusions that I've come too. Now I can guarantee you that the majority of the ponyfans round here and the internet aren't too high on the obnoxious fans going around taking the show and things related to it too seriously,but it is it necessary to essentially classify those types of fans as the Primary make up of the fanbase? |
