Twilight! What have you done? You have changed the future! You have created a time paradox! |
| picard #1117311 4 months ago |
That's not a time paradox. If you kill your parents before you are born, THAT'S a time paradox. But if you just pay a visit to your younger self and say hello, that's just good old regular time travel. |
| Anonymous #1117379 4 months ago |
^Incorrect. By visiting yourself in the past, you have changed your future actions, thus making the whole situation's existence reliant on its own existence, thus making it a paradox. |
| Anonymous #1117727 4 months ago |
@379
What if said situation is at first caused by a future vision of yourself visiting you, and then you visit yourself in the past because future you visited you in the past? |
| Anonymous #1117730 4 months ago |
Seriously does any pony or celestia even know the consequences of time travel? |
| Anonymous #1117755 4 months ago |
@727
That is a basic paradox. Your future self influenced your actions, making the whole situation become based on circular logic. Your future self visits you, so you visit your past self, so your past self visits your past-past self... going on and on |
| Anonymous #1117791 4 months ago |
basically, you only visit yourself BECAUSE your future self visits you. Without your future self, you would have no reason to travel back in time. |

Actually this makes a stable time loop but leads to the question of how it-
fuck I need my Homestuck timeline charts. |
| CottonTales #1117978 4 months ago |
@Psycho
what question does it lead to compared to Homestuck this was a pretty straight forward time loop |

>Twilight1 goes bakk in time to test spell, stupidly decides to meet herself, freaks out Twilight2
>Twilight2 goes bakk in time to tell self to not freak out about Twilight1, fails and freaks out Twilight3 >Twilight3 goes bakk in time to tell self not to freak out about Twilight3, fails and freaks out Twilight3 >repeat last infinitely. |

History abhors a paradox. |
| Dr_Action #1119289 4 months ago |
not technically, she could have caused a Time paradox by not going back in time at all |
