that's why Fluttershy wished to be a tree her mother (a tree) always felt slightly disappointed that her daughter was not one even though she loved Flutters very much Fluttershy could feel that subtle disappointment while being rocked in her branches. But in the end her mother loves her quadripedal half tree offspring just as much even though she will most likely die before her because of the limited lifespan of ponies...
