"Backstory on this one: In January 2011, right after the season one new year's hiatus, a bunch of episodes (Fall Weather Friends, Suited For Success, and Sonic Rainboom) were confirmed all at once by TV Guide. Some genius anon ran with it and made up official-sounding synopsises for all the remaining season one episodes. These descriptions actually got posted on Equestria Daily (as a rumor, but still) back when it was just starting out." |

Interestingly enough he was right about episode 19 being a Spike and Rarity one.
As for deeper, darker and more "epic", yeah I tend to prefer episodes like that. There's a reason the "The Return of Harmony" eps are my favorites. |

It can be plenty 'deep' without always being dark and 'end of the world'-ish.
These nerd fandoms are not very creative. How about a bittersweet, happy, un-grimdark finale? |
