Didn't realize like I could take screenshots of Character Creation until yesterday.
Natsu's style might sound like a strange choice for Twilight, but she does have energy/magic-esque attacks especially her Critical Edge and can teleport using her possession and wind roll stances. |

^Soul Calibur V introduced "Specialized equipment" to help enhance your custom characters, horns being among them. |

Twilight Sparkle was actually one of the first custom characters I made when I got SCV. I made her horn a bit more pronounced (the default size, actually), and I gave her a pink hairband to simulate the pink streak in her hair.
The primary difference is that she fights using Viola's style (as does my custom Trixie that I made later on) and she wears the dress that Rarity made for her in Sweet and Elite. |

^Perhaps I should have made it a little longer, but the reason why I made it small is because Twilight (Or any normal unicorn's horn) isn't really that long, especially if their mane is covering it. Plus, I wanted to make the horn look a little more natural and not stand out so much which I felt the default did.
My Twilight more or less draws inspiration from some of the humanized pics of her, particularly those that have her in a school uniform. I kinda wanted to make her more like Seiryuga's design and have her wear a lab coat but the restrictions on clothing combinations kept me from doing that. |

Also, her scarf is obviously her Winter Wrap Up scarf. I felt she needed some neckwear equipment and the various ribbons just didn't work out for me.
Viola was my initial choice and is definitely the best alternative, but after playing around with Natsu's moves, I just thought her CE and teleport stances were a little more fitting. |

If anyone wants to recreate her in their game, here's what I used:
-Body- Height 2/Normal / Skin color 2:8,0 All body settings besides chest: -20 (I just feel that making any other part of their body bigger makes them look weird) Chest: -15 (Anything over -10 and it seems comically over exaggerated. Plus, I never imagine Twilight being that big.) Muscle Mass: 0 Face: 2 Hair: Princess Long/ All hair color 9:48,24 Eyebrows: 13 Eye Color: 9: 48, 24 Voice: Japanese - Serious/8/3/None Note: That she might sound weird in the sample. Mock battle is always the best way to test the voice. Also, I generally set fighters to Japanese because it's what I'm used to unless there's a character I main that just doesn't sound really good in Japanese (Darth Vader in SCIV), so this might not be a proper fit in English. I think it's only recently that fighters have been dubbed with any regularity. Of course, some of you will find it fun to just call me a weeaboo. -Equipment Parts- Undergarments: Basic Clothes (9:54,19. Default color is fine, but I was just too lazy to change it once I used All Color) Upper Body: Congratulatory Shirt (Color 1: 9: 0,0. Color 2: 9: 52, 8. Color 3: 9: 59, 10) Lower Body: Pleated Skirt (9: 59, 10) Neck/Back: Cloth Neck Wrap (Pattern: Basic 1. Color 1: 0: 0,0. Color 2/3: 6: 56, 8. Size: A little less than 1/4.) Ankle: Knee Socks (9: 0,0) Feet: Leather Shoes (Default colors) Hint: If you're planning on having the majority of your character's clothes in one color then choose All Equipment and choose the specific color and edit everything else as you go through them. It'll save time. Specialized Equipment Horn Location: Head Horizontal: 0 Vertical: -31 Back: 9 Width: 0 Length: -35 Depth: 0 Rotate Vertically: 55 Rotate Horizontally: 0 Angle: 0 Color: 9: 52, 8 Note: The scroll was only done for the screenshot and I quickly removed it after I took it. I forgot the settings I used for it, but I know it was left arm and the color for it was yellowish to make it look like the parchment. Weapon style: Natsu (Alternative: Viola) Weapon: Koringo & Himeringo Effect: Magic Pack Slash trail color 9:58,16 (Tried to get it to match the color of Twilight's magic aura.) Cutie Mark: Note: This is optional since chances are you won't be seeing it in a battle and as you can see, you can't even see it on my Twilight even though I put it on her (Same with most of the mane cast). It is a pretty nice to do though and makes her feel complete even if I can't get it to look exactly like her cutie mark. Also, I use Place by View for the application method so I'll just give directions for where to apply it. Sticker 1 (The white star): Motif 11 Equipment attachment: Lower body Location: Hip Color: 9:0,0 Application Method: I placed it to the right and a bit below her hip. Size: About a quarter. There is sadly no number to make it exact. Rotate: Ditto. A good way to get the right rotation on this is to put the second sticker exactly on top and then just rotate this sticker until you get the point jut out from between the purple star's points. Stick 2 (The purple star) Motif 67 Equipment attachment: Lower Body Location: Hip Color 9:59,11 Application Method: Put it right over the first star. Make sure the point on the white star are able to jut out from the angles of the purple star. Size: About the same as the first one. Maybe a little bigger. Rotate: See the rotation for the white star. The rotation on the star should remain at default. |
