This actually brings up an interesting query: is Mayor Mare really as old as she looks, or has her hair just always looked like that? |

Young Granny Smith was blonde, so ponies do gray. The Mayor's obviously nowhere near that old, so perhaps she grayed early. There are ponies with mostly white manes -- Hoity Toity and Pokey Pierce, for instance. Interestingly, Silver Spoon's mane is about that shade of gray and white. Perhaps she's the Mayor's daughter. |
