^ Pretty much. Both are rational but high intensity personas, which is a rare comparison since most western shows don't have high intensity people. That's mostly reserved for shonen anime. Rainbow Dash is an exception.
In fact, there are a lot of parallels between the characters. Chad and Applejack have very honest, strong, stalwart natures. Rukia and Twi have a lot in common as well. Both have a little too much modesty, excellent magic users, but have the brains to always explain the situation confidently. And Orihime is pretty much a combination of Fluttershy's unconditional kindness, and Pinkie Pie's randomness and stomach durability. |
