To go with RealityCheck's post, it have only been implied, not state, just merelly implied, that alicorns are physical incarnation of gods in Equestria, and now, despite not being directly stated, it is made very, very clear Cadance is the godess of love, Aphrodite style(okay, maybe not Aphrodite style, Aphrodite was the greatest whore of the mythology...), so canon is still mostly intact as far as I remember.
As for fanon, buck fanon, it is only good to fill in for the lack of canon afterall... |
