Uhhh, I'm almost sure it's a X-Com reference, the HWP and the Jumpsuit sorta gives it away.

X-Com is alongside Dwarf Fortress in games that make you care about generic blobs of pixels and stats, and making you feel horrible when you watch them go crazy, kill their fellows, and die horribly. |

@339 Nah X-Com 1 Was fairly easy (at easy-normal diff that is... and in some cases superhuman due to a bug).
Now TFTD... that game was just fucking unfair by throwing at you aliens that are pretty much immune against everything excluding Heavy Sonic weapons and melee weapons pretty much from the begining. If you respond to every emegency you might face those things with freaking harpoon guns (literally). You don't get heavy sonic weapons till later and they excell at melee... so yeah... and that's on the easiest difficulty level. |

Sonlir, that's because X-Com was stuck in super-easy mode and TFTD was stuck in super-hard mode, no matter what difficulty you selected.

@617 I know that there was a bug with Superhuman in the first one that switched the game to the easiest difficulty once you researched something (forgot what exacly).
Didn;t know about the bug in TFTD tho... but the game is unfair anyway. |
