Also was not expecting him to be Twi's brother AT ALL. Makes him a more sympathetic character, at least. He better be estranged or something, though. You'd think she'd have referenced him in the past if they were close, so it's probably just an honorific that she's attending his wedding. |

So from this we can assume that Rarity isn't close to her parents since they were only mentioned in the one episode, Fluttershy and Rainbow aren't close to their families since they've never been mentioned, Pinkie to her family since they only mentioned once, fuck except for Sweetie Belle and the Apples none of the families are mentioned except for the one time appearences of Twi's Rarity's and Pinkie's. And that was a bad example, but you understand my logic. Would Fluttershy or Rarity be better? Shit, Rarity would be best example. Imagine if she suddenly had some long-lost brother that fought in the war and is apparently a national hero, yet NOPONY ANYWHERE has ever brought him up until now. Let me have my damn fantasy. It's the only way I can rationalize this. I don't have a problem with him being Twi's bro, but... If he was a major part of her life, she would have at least mentioned that she has a brother in the army somewhere along the line. That or she's only met him like once or twice, since it seems like he's a good bit older than her. Also, given the synopsis, totally calling it: Cadence is a bridezilla. |

Well, if it is a rage thread, then that realization would cause rage (because everything causes rage when Nyx is involved.) But basically, Nyx is tied to Twilight in a way so that they're basically related, and Nyx ends up with a shield for a cutie mark like Shining Armor.
I thought it was funny that her actual brother (if this pans out) has a cutie mark of the same thing. It's merely a coincidence, but of all the cutie marks Shining Armor could have had, it's funny that it ended up being the same kind that Nyx had. |
