Remember in Season 1 and the early days after the /b/ wars, right when Ponychan and Equestriadaily came out, that we were filled with mostly friendly people, content was flowing through the roof, and we actually liked EqD? I remember seeing Derpy Hooves return in Feeling Pinkie Keen and that was an awesome feeling, when we actually got a nod to the fandom. I remember when the Proud to be a Brony song came out, and you can't believe our reactions to the Equestria Girls song.
Yeah, things were a lot better before all this Drama entered our fandom, not saying there wasn't drama before but you know what I mean. Not saying I don't enjoy the fandom still but I think the early days were a better, before all this hate found it's way into our fandom. |

Once fandoms get large and no longer hav a single site of congregation, people just split into factions. It's how fandoms work. It's how society works.
All you can do is stop hating on others and focus on being the best person you can be as far as interpersonal relations. If enuff of us act friendly towards one another, we could ignore the vocal minorities. That won't guarantee that some people won't actually complain and screw up the show for the rest of us, but if the rest of us are somewhat unified and friendly, we can overshadow them easily. |

Hey, guys. I was a 2nd generation member of the Homestar Runner Fanstuff Wiki. That was in the year 2005. It was pretty awesome for a long while until the NSMC attacks and then the Purge. They went through the EXACT SAME STUFF we're going through. History repeats itself again and again with every fandom. Don't worry guys, everything will turn out okay in the end.

I've been part of a LOT of fandoms. And there is always a point where sides are made and sides are chosen. Some people like one thing and some like the other, and they will fight bitterly over it, not so much to prove that their side is the right, but that the other side is wrong. It's sad, but that always happens no matter what. We don't to reach a consensus or agreement, we need to just respect each other and everyone's differing opinions.
I love this fandom and I love you all. The good definitely outweighs the bad so let's keep it that way. |

Are things really bad though? I tend to gloss over the bad and Ponibooru is a great place to hang out and pony so I never really notice. I try never to get involved with the big drama fests because they do tend to weigh a person down. Fighting will always be part of what any group of people do no matter what but it's not the end of the world. This fandom is actually pretty damn good. You guys are overblowing it even more than Ponychan, which is an achievement. Most posts in EqD isn't as rage-filled as people think.
Also, vast majority still just honestly enjoy the show and there's till tons of new art/game/mashup content. Just enjoy for what it is. I'm still overall proud of this fandom. Not when it keeps making up artificial drama out of thin air, but most people don't do that. |

Really? I don't think it's as bad as everypony is making it out to be. I may be relatively new to this fandom (less than a year) but I honestly haven't seen any big rifts like that. I do frequent EqD (I avoid ponychan though, rule of thumb, anything with 'chan' in it is a danger in my book). Hell, I even ship, and it's hard to find bigger shitstorms than shipping wars, and I still don't think it's as bad as what everypony says. |
