You can't claim the discovery of a new pony species until it has been certified by the creators.
Using your arguments any pony with a different body shape could be considered a new species. Anyways, a species generally refers to a group that can produce offspring that in turn can breed, so technically, all ponies can be considered the same species. The term we are looking for is sub-species. So we can't even confirm any new species in the context of Pip or the Lunar Guards, no matter what arguments you use until we see them breeding with a female version of the same species, or until the creators confirm it. |

Sorry but we don't know Zecora's birthday. All we know it's one day after Cheerilee's and we don't have a date for that one. The air date doesn't count since one episode took place on a Tuesday (Lesson Zero) and one had a one-month time skip (Baby Cake). :) |
