Because we only saw select encounters where ponies were jerks, which means we don't see the nice ponies. Also, writers don't actually live in small towns, so they assume everyone everywhere is a total asshole to people they don't know. In larger cities, people tend to be like that unfortunately.
That cherry guy was a really petty sadist with nothing better to do. Jokes on him tho, he'll end up going out of business with they way he treats customers. |
