Ponies need no salvation, they have no such thing as original sin, live in a hellish land full of mosters and micromanaged THAT into a utopian paradise and are actually able to stop their Sources of Evil (Nightmare Moon is the devil as a rebellious wannabe tyrant/cthulhu, Discord the devil as enemy of all virtues/ebon dragon) pretty efficiently. Also their magic/miracles are approached scientifically and the very goddesses of the land don't require worship and don't torture anybody forever, which is quite more humble than the whole "sacrifice myself to myself to forgive people that are not up to my standards, which I know are insanely high for those people" guy. |

there's a small problem with that if we are following religious doctrine for this the fact that they are intelligent and the very land is against them proves that they do have original sin, if that wasn't the case why would any fair/good creature make them live there but this is religious fact and doesn't even really apply to the show |
