TF:Prime is probably the best Transformers cartoon since the original, to be honest. Glad to be a fan. |

@Impious what about animated? and beast wars!!! oh, and i guess cybertron and energon were kinda good too. but beast wars, man!!! |

Beast Wars was alright-o. I was never really able to get into it, but it certainly wasn't bad. |

@RepentantAnon I have to disagree on that, Cybertron and Energon were assenine to me. Armada was the kinda good one in my opinion. And then you got Car Robots, which was rather duh in hindsight (and poorly dubbed). |

Successful ad in the corner stares into your soul every episode. It's all like HEY BRO JUST REMINDIN YOU THAT THERE ARE OTHER QUALITY PROGRAMS ON THIS NETWORK, CHECK EM OUT, all day every day. |

It could be because they're both in the wave of '80s revival shows that all seemed to surge out in about a six-month period.
MLP: Friendship Is Magic Transformers Prime Pound Puppies GI Joe: Renegades Voltron Force Thundercats (2011) A good half-dozen new shows, the first four of which are all on the same network, and all of which have 1980s counterparts. Seems to rely a lot on nostalgia to draw in older fans along with the new ones. |

Dude, I just like seeing Optimus Prime with Celestia. Seen some great art of the two of them. |

Prime is good, but Animated is what got me into Transformers and remains probably one of my favorite shows (cartoon, TF, or otherwise) of all time. It's the few programs that I've rewatched to death and plan to write fanfiction of. Hell, I've even caved and bought two of their figures.
I'd just like to remind TransFans to keep an open mind to any and all continuities out there. Hell, I initially avoided Beast Machines based on hearsay, and yet I'm watching the series right now and enjoying it (despite Nightscream's best efforts to piss me off). Each is a new spin on a 25-year-old series and brings something slightly different to the table. |
