Probability of most things, even completely unreal ones is above zero. Some things can be so good that fighting for them is justified even if chance of success is low. Goodness of meeting twilight is (obviously) positive infinity. So looking for her is rational no matter what and managing normal relationships with humans does not matter at all (Success in relationships with humans is more probable but its not infinitely good).
