Convicts are only used as grunts; there are always knights in charge. And that's only at the most extreme border forts.
The territory outside Equestria's borders is still pretty chaotic, so they're too busy fighting monsters and not freezing to death to make much trouble. |

This is also largely inspired by the Night Watch from Game of Thrones. (New seasons starts in April!)
@Roxxas I'm not entirely sure what you mean. If you're setting up an account, you don't strictly need to have a user icon, but you can upload any file off your computer. A fairly small image is probably best, so lots of detail doesn't get too cramped. Also, thanks! I've gotten more consistent at drawing Aqui, at least. But a consequence of that is I'm getting bored of drawing him! (lol) I'm toying with the idea of starting a second pony blog, maybe OC or something else. But not until I finish writing The Princess Bridle, for sure. |
