I hate to say it, but this kinda makes sense. Go back to Read It and Weep and look at the x-ray of Dash's wing. Those are not the bones of a bird-style wing. |

Well it makes sense. A wing is basically just an arm+hand with flight structures between the digits (or around the digit in the case of normal birds as they only have one) |

Earth pony magic can animate either head or tail hair (although it is most often seen controlling the tail).
Examples: Pinkie Pie's magic mood hair, and Applejack's and Applebloom's prehensile tails. |

It could also be an automatic opening pouch, it has these metal things that make it stay open when you rub your hand over them. People with grip disabilities have those. |
