Jackarunda, you are a terrible person. Okay, maybe not terrible, but your opinion is bad and you should feel bad. Rarity is an artist and Pinkie brings joy to ponies. There is value in what they have based their lives around.
Heck, the only pony that doesn't have what could be dismissed as a "frivolous" interest in life amongst the mane six is AJ. Rainbow Dash does some necessary work with her cloud clearing job, but her goal in life is to show off her speed. Twilight seems intent on improving herself academically without any apparent practical application for her learning. Fluttershy takes care of animals because she is too afraid of people to deal with them. AJ grows food that ponies need to live. Even AJ woulda felt the wrath of new Fluttershy. Probably would have insulted her about taking over the family farm rather then actually "make something with her life". Fluttershy just wanted to lash out at her friends in the most painful way possible, succeeded, and then realized what an ass she was when her friends ran away in tears. |
