Actually, this is probably intentional. Fluttershy's saddle bags had a butterfly buckle, and Derpy's seemed to be something other than an ordinary buckle (I don't have an HD copy of the episode, but the shape seemed unusual). In fact, most other saddle bags don't even have buckles, so the fact that Bonbon's have buckles -- and that they're in the shape of a lyre instead of her own cutie mark (a la Fluttershy) -- hints that this was a an intentional fandom nod. |

It could mean that they are just good friends and Bonbon borrowed Lyra's bag. It could mean that whoever made this bag thought that a lyre would look good It could mean that the lyre is the logo of the bag producer. Whatever you perfer as your personal headcanon... |
