@Imdumb: Eh, he/she posted his/her opinion about "The Last Roundup" and the appearance of Derpy. He/She thought Derpy was offensive and an ableist stereotype. In my opinion, hell, it was his/hers and he/she was allowed to say what she wanted and to think of the Derpy appearance how she pleased. What kind of bugged people was the hipocrisy and the "holier-than-thou" attitude she had going on. Kind of annoying. |

The thing I don't understand is why people are making such a big deal about this. Someone goes drama queen and complains, as would happen with anything that has a significant fanbase. The best thing to do in those situations is to move on and just forget about it, instead of continuing to give the individual the attention they were looking for in the first place. |

Lol. Yamino hated Derpy. End of story. Otherwise she'd be picking on Steven Magnet for his stereotypical gay portrayal... Nope. She'd be picking on Applejack for being a stereotypical Southern... Nope. She however blogged in several locations to all her little white knight's so that one person's voice got her obsessed fans to do her bidding because their Queen was upset. (We all know this is true. If a celeb complains there's always a crazy bunch of their fans that actually think they are doing her bidding which Yamino doesn't even deny when she personally called herself an Amplifier) Honestly Yamino is loving the attention but I have to hope that part of her is dieing on the inside realizing how stupid she was, and how she's making up stories that she knows disabled so she understands what's offensive to them. Next she's going to put up Zecora for being a stereotype because she once had a friend who was Black. *Sigh* If Derpy was offensive, and I am sure the person in charge did their research... It would have NEVER been released, or changed to that. Yamino is a hypocrite, and is offensive to disabled with her "They can't speak out for themselves so I have to!". She claims Derpy wasn't a positive portrayal of the disabled? Because a character like Cheese who slams his head on a post over, and over was positive. Because Ed from Ed, Edd, and Eddy who would clearly slam his head against stuff, and laugh at anything while having the cliche "Super human strength" that mentally handicapped are known for was positive. No. This is about a female character being considered "Low IQ". Yamino's only examples are the name, and that the fandom has created stuff that makes it sound like they call her stupid. What would that have to do with Derpy's show portrayal? NOTHING. Even the name thing is bullshit. It's the internet. If you look deeply enough you'll find tons of words that have slur meanings because people can post anything they want in places. There's a reason why Yamino is in the middle of this shit storm. She started it, and she has the ability to end it at any time but she isn't. So honestly I hope she loses more fans than she already has from this debacle. |
