No humans in Equestria. Some creatures are inconsistent with their real-world-mythology counterparts.

I'm sure it's more from the show's staff thinking about an amusing creature to add to the show and didn't really give much of a damn of its origins.

In other words, it's television so chillax.

But as a sidenote, I want to see hippogriffs from the lulz it will bring.

Well if you going with that logic.

Manticore should have a human face...and 2 rows of teeth( teeth varies so i can forget about that)

Grandma told me never play in the field or the manticore would get me :(

Alternate ending to the Greek myth:

Theseus is killed by the Minotaur.

Eventually, the Minotaur found a way out of the maze and left Crete on his journey to Equestria.

He then became a business man. now he is rich and successful.

The end

Humans existed in Equestria long ago, but they're all dead now. Minotaurs are still around.

Yeah Imp, the minute they all decided to stop offing each other, the universe declared "mission complete" and promptly swallowed them all in a giant space cloud.

Assuming there first Minotaur was created the same way in Equestria as it was in Ancient Crete, I highly doubt that humans exist in modern-day Equestria. The human race is way too stubborn and attention-seeking to NOT have been seen on the show by now.

So I'm gonna say Minotaurs grew in population, Humans died out (which, given their stubborn nature, was probably a great cataclysmic event) and faded into myth.

Now the shoe is on the other foot, instead of being pure myth, a Minotaur is a race, and Humans are now possibly merely things found in legend.

If you examine Iron Will's legs, they appear to have scales. Since dragons are bipeds with hands, it makes sense that Equestrian minotaurs are a bull-dragon mix instead of a bull-human mix.

Iron Will is the result of Canterlot Magic Academy experiments with strange, excavated skeletons.

Not all pieces were available so they made substitutions from some cow test subjects.

What is a human?
A human is a creature with a centaur top and a minotaur bottom.

And since they have the constellation of Orion, it's possible they've got the rest as well. That would mean one for Sagittarius, which is depicted as a centaur. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUN!

Also, a Minotaur could be part Great Ape in the MLP universe for all we know. After all, the Manticore had a lion face...
