Hysterical shock cases do not need to be hospitalized, but they do need to be watched carefully. Someone has to be there to feed the patient, and the place kept secure so that they don't walk away to whereabouts unknown, or do themselves an injury.
The traumatic experience has to be brought back to them so they can come to terms with it. |
