Yes, COG, that is the case. My good friend Pen wrote that story a good three months ago. It also features line-cutting-in issues, and a self-help pamphlet leading the way to a dubious guru! O__O

They've done it a couple times before, like in the CMC's song in Show Stoppers and the last shot of Last Roundup. I THINK they might have used it in the Exorcist-ish scene in Baby Cakes as well, but I'm not sure. |

Three months is considerably shorter than the lead time the animation has to have, much less the writing. When you have a fandom this huge that are just as gleeful as the writers about taking things to ridiculous extremes, you're bound to get some uncanny similarities. |
