It's my headcanon that they do wear makeup, you just can't see it usually - like how Rarity can leave kiss-marks even though she doesn't appear to be wearing any lipstick. |

Rarity would be the only pony of the mane 6 to even wear make up. She is shown to have fake eyelashes on. All the others, with possible exceptions of Fluttershy has no indication of even wanting to wear it. Pinkie is... Pinkie, it would just be "lame" for Dash to have, waste of time and money for AJ, take reading time from Twi, as well as just be in the way. Fluttershy might have it judging by she seems to enjoy superficial things to an extent (she does go to a spa, but did show to not take very much of the products), and Rarity is well.. her prissiness is part of her character and line of work.
So yeah. Of the mane 6, Rarity and Fluttershy might have some make up (Rarity is a 100 %, Fluttershy ~50 %) Pinkie and Twi I'd put at ~20 % at max, since Twi barely brushes her mane (at times) and Dash and AJ at a max ~5 % chance of wearing make up. Apart from very special occasions, (such as the gala) neither of those has shown much of care for their appearance. |
