Fatal Frame II: Crimson Fluttershy. I'd buy it. |

Awesome game, one of my faves. |

That's not the Kusabi, fyi. The Kusabi is specifically the rope-bound man meant to pacify the * between Twin Sacrifice rituals. |

All Gods' Village is in the Everfree Forest? I'd buy that. |

Xun, are those the Kiryu Twins do you suppose, or those unnamed twins? I couldn't figure that out. |

^Well, the in-game notes (plus the ending, where ALL of the Crimson Butterfies are released) suggest that it had been going on for quite a while, and that it's usually two girls (so the white-haired boy was one of the few male pairs).
The game doesn't really specify if that's them, cuz they went through many many twins... The fact that there were rooms with actual electric lighting suggest it was as recent as the 1800's, plus there was Folklorist Memo #12: (In recent years, the government issued a decree that the first twin to come out is the eldest) which I think I remember reading was a real Imperial edict), but doesn't specify it's earliest origions; obviously long enough to build a self-sustaining village with local family hierarchies. Also, Yae is the grandmother of the first game's protagonist. THe only thing really suggesting it's the Kiryu twins is one of the Dollmaker's notes: "She's like a doll. Controlled by Azami, she keeps repeating "I don't want to kill", over and over." (which you hear that last non-attacking ghost say shortly before the boss) But, there's also nothing really saying that those Twins are also the ones we see on the promo shots like this one. |

Short answer: problably, but there's plenty of other Twins it could also be. |
