As grotesque as this image may be, this is basically what the fandom has done to these two characters. |

Lyra is still a very fun character without Bonbon around, but the other way around... meh. |

In order to do this, both had to slice off two of their legs, then lie sideways on a furnace until their flesh melted enough to allow them to stick themselves together. Then they had to remain bandaged that way for months until the melted flesh fused and healed itself together.
Go to sleep. |

why does flesh always melt in fictional works instead of burning? |

AppleDash: That's ironic, because Lyra has barely any personality as defined by the show. Bonbon on the other hand has a personality in the cartoon, but in fanon it almost all gets ignored. She's usually depicted as either being just the submissive cow to Lyra's bull, or the boring foil to Lyra's humorous antics.
Bonbon's actual role in the show is usually that of a complainer. To some people that can probably be considered as annoying, but either way that's who she is in the cartoon. In fanon she's pretty much seen as just a peripheal for Lyra's character, even though in the actual show it's Bonbon who has a personality while Lyra does not. |

@822
I'm not saying Bonbon isn't a good character I'm just saying that she is at her best with Lyra. Think of her as David Spade and Lyra as Chris Farely. This is all fanon though so it doesn't matter too much. |
| Kokopure #1092202 4 months ago |
Fanon it may be, but I can peek over my goggles and still see it...
>>142887 Regardless, I would say that Bonbon's random voice and Lyra's interest in humans have nothing to do with each other, so it's not like their only character trait is being with each other. I would agree with AppleDash that they're best together, though. I will concede though, that so far (and including Putting Your Hoof Down) Bonbon's character so far appears to be that of a total bitch. I have no problem with Lyra bringing out the good side in an otherwise abrasive pony, however, and this would certainly not be the first time a relationship was depicted as such. |
