They obviously cared a LOT, if they were so willing to cave to a simpering minority. They went and rewrote an entire scene that was already shown and then released on DVD, because they clearly cared.

Regarding Niggertron, however, I'd like to throw in my two cents. He could have a large supporting group, and he could make good points, and that's totally fine. We have an artist named NiggerFaggot, and I don't complain about that. But as far as making him the Ponibooru mascot? We'd look pretty ridiculous, if not downright retarded. Yes, if people delve deep enough into the site, everyone will find something that offends them, but if the first thing they see is a black and red alicorn who sounds like the most racist transformer of all time, then we'd be giving people plenty of ammunition against us. |

I disagree Impious. People have every right to be perturbed, but most people weren't involved in trashtalking.
It's always the trolls coming out of the woodworks quick to condemn the fandom when in fact, only a few acted out compared to the vast majority. Most fans were perturbed or just disappointed at the situation. So don't pull everybody down and say the fandom deserves this, fandom deserves that. It's almost like with religion. Most of the fanbase is still a fan of the show. The few dramaqueens making the controversy even bigger by accusing its own fanbase are the worst. I don't mean to imply your opinion is totally off base, but I think you're just quick to condemn here. |
