How is this good.
The artist has apparently spend much more time on background than pony itself. It's almost like as if he just photoshop that Rainbow Dash on it. |

If the artist spent more time on the background than the pony, it was because 1. the background takes up 95% of the image and 2. ponies are not very complicated in the first place. Anyway I disagree with you- It looks to me that RD was drawn quite carefully. Just look at the lighting, for example. |

I don't know. The background is good indeed. But Rainbow Dash just doesn't fit somehow.
It gives me an impression that the background is actually for something else. Just an opinion. |

This looks damn good.
I'll toss in a small gripe, just to please Mr. Potato head: The shadowed areas on Dash should be darker, especially her wing under the rock. The rock itself is strangely contrasting too-- the shading is much darker than anything else in the picture. There are more colors used, the outline is much more defined, the rock even has texture. Ya know what? The more I look at this the more I agree with Mr. Potato head. There are too many inconsistencies going on here. I'm un-faving and removing my vote until I am convinced otherwise. I don't want to see 'false' art get featured. I know this is such a small matter, but as they say, an injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere. |

Honestly, Rainbow Dash wouldn't have spent more than an hour or two trapped if Tank hadn't shown up. Her friends knew about the avalanche, where to look, and would have had no trouble getting that rock off Dash's wing. |
