^ I like to imagine that the schism between them first arose because Celestia was being courted by somepony and Luna was totes jealous. Then it just kinda snowballed into a general resentment. |

Makes perfect sense. I think that either they'd both hav a lot of random ponies for one night stands, not letting them do it more than once so that they wouldn't get attached, or they would only be with each other. And the latter is more sustainable in the long run since it doesn't risk STD transmission nor does it risk hurting ponies' feelings after they are forced to stay away. |

Well, at least that's a few points against the whole "Celestia and Luna and are soul-crushingly alone and will never find lasting true love" thing. That is always incredibly depressing to read about. "Eternal" was rough stuff. Love is love, who's to judge? Especially when your Gods do it. |
