Doesn't this fandom just exist, because MLP-FIM did go viral all over the internet? I mean how many people have the hub? And how many Bronies saw FIM the first time on YouTube because they wanted to know what's it about anyway. I know I did.
Yes the show is realy good. But it is just because of the Internet and the behaviour of the fans that it became so successful. That is why the Bronie subculture even exist. Because of the same reason Viral Marketing works. When someone likes it, he tell his friends or go to some sort of social network to introduce it to other people. These friends like it too and they tell it there other friends. It is exponential. That is how the internet works. No reason to rant about it. |
