Saufsoldat, first off, stop put words in people's mouths, because I sure as hell never said that. "Love and Tolerance" doesn't mean, "don't ever criticize," but it sure as hell doesn't justify calling female characters ugly and "manfaces" just because they don't fit your particular standard of attraction. It's stupid, petty, and hypocritical for people to expect to be tolerated when they can't even extend the same decency themselves.
Second, If YOU'VE ever had a valid criticism, I would LOVE to hear it. |

@517: People don't have to enjoy art just because it's realistic and depicts something that exists. Most people don't want to see ugly faces, that's a fact. If someone considers something about a picture ugly, he has every right to say so. If many people have the same problem, they can all voice their displeasure.
The artist on the other hand has every right to accept the criticism or reject it. He can draw his next picture with manfaces, too, or he can change his style. Don't tell people that there's something wrong with them just because they have their own preferences, that's no better than telling an artist what he can and can't draw. I happen to not enjoy Twilight dressing like a fucking caricature of a 80-year-old and I definitely don't like manfaces, midgets and fat chicks. So sue me. If you like all of those, feel free to uprate the picture or post a comment saying how much you enjoyed this picture, but don't go around bitching and moaning at other people for having an opinion. |

^ Humans consider perfection beautiful. A fat chick with acne is realistic, I can certainly find a few in the neighborhood, that doesn't mean I enjoy pictures with those faces.
If I draw a pony realistically, nobody will enjoy it, because this is an MLP fansite. We know the ponies aren't realistic, like all cartoons. Most people think the same about humanizations. |

Head and leg proportions are off, not to mention the uncanny valley "halfway between toon and realistic but in a bad way" art. Fluttershy could save this picture but I could nitpick on her too, like her hands, legs and how she stands. So the problem is not "being realistic" or "being fugly"; it's being a bad art.
