I tend to see Twilight as darker then the rest, but not the type whose skin is darker then her hair. Olive-toned you might say.
Southern European to Mid-Eastern range or some such. |

Oh sweet Celestia. Do you know why so many people draw the mane six pale as fuck? Because anytime a humanised version DOESN'T have them pale as fuck, people's entitlement complexes come out screaming and they're scared away, like what happened with Yamino and almost happened with Emmy. Different people like to draw pony humanisations differently. If you are incapable of dealing with that, find someplace where everyone always agrees with you all the time, because obviously you aren't fit for reality. |

Hmm. It it true that the fandom doesn't really portray humanizations as diverse, but that's probably due to personal preference or else what's more or less standard.
Also, I don't really agree with Twilight being black. It just doesn't seem to fit with how the unicorns are shown in Equestrian society. Just something that bugs me. |

Black Twilight is probably the most common but it's not like she the only one always drawn non-white. I've seen quiet a few non-white humanizations of Rarity and RD.
But who cares? I appriciate all good humanizations and don't get it why it's such an issue what skin color a FiM character has. If someone draws a white Zecora who I'am to tell him that it's wrong? |

MLP is the most popular in North American and Europe, places that happen to have a large, white majority.
Draw your humanized technicolor ponies however you want, but don't call others racist because they have their own aesthetic preferences, which happens to be white for the majority of the fanbase. |

I don't like diversity for diversity's sake. Why is it that someone can prefer black Twilight, but if they prefer her white they're racist? I like black Scootaloo, but Twi works better white IMHO. |

I don't care what races you may choose to humanize the ponies into but I have my own preferences as well. Mostly though I just prefer them to be ponies. |

Considering that there IS so much humanized artwork of dark skinned Twilight, I say we should really try to take comfort in that fact and not feel so offended when some people come along and say that it looks/is wrong. They may not like it, but their personal opinion obviously isn't stopping it from happening. So there's no problem, right? As a person of color myself, I appreciate how offensive and at times hurtful some of these anti-colored humanization comments can be, but... at the end of the day they're still just opinions that we can choose not to dwell on. Some of us should really just try toughening up, is all I'm saying. |

This is why I prefer anthro. You don't go changing the way something is. Turning someone/ something into something it's not meant to be is just wrong in most cases. I don't hate humanization, just hate the shit it causes. Draw them yourself if you want them black. |
