You know? now that we know that Faust took a little part in the Cadence episode,it makes me think:
She didn't know Cadence would end up to be an alicorn,so probably the episodes won't explain anything about the alicorns. |

Yeah, Lauren said that Cadence being an alicorn was a surprise to her (and I don't think it was a pleasant one). I wonder if the episode will debunk the idea that all alicorns are god-tier. Or will it be it like Pony genetics, where they'll just dance around the question and not give a decent answer. Still, Cadence does look kinda neat. I don't hate her. |

I'd like to think that she's not even a real alicorn and is just trying to impress Shining Armor.
Or she's a regular pony who recently ascended to divinity. It's implied that Luna and Celestia weren't always gods; After all, it originally took many unicorns to raise and lower the sun and moon. |

I just don't know. The idea of another Alicorn sort of puts a mess in the mythos of Equestria. The 3 tribes is a incredibly solid part of MLP, and a alicorn that isn't one just raises too many questions. I'm just hoping that they don't try to mess with the story, and just play it off with something clever
^ That's a good point, but 'ascension' is too big of a deal to be dealt with without opening the can of worms, like "Why can't the mane six become alicorns?" Anyways, its assumed that Prince Blueblood's royal line AND Celestia and Luna both descended from Princess Platinum, as she was a unicorn with the same bloodline and title. There was a lot of significance in that special 'thinking back' where Celestia looks at her own cutie mark, so its up in the air whether Celestia and Luna were both born Alicorns. Its assumed that not one unicorn could move the sun alone before Celestia, and we simply don't know the entire significance of that. |

How do we know that Princes Celestia & Luna are descended from Princes Platinum? I mean it might be as good a theory as any. But, I'm not ready to buy it just yet. Otherwise wouldn't Alicorns be just as common (or possibly less so) then the main Three Tribes? Besides even with a messed up lineage (see Babycakes), they were either full Unicorn or full Pegasus, and not a bit of both. P.s. could you cite your reference as to where 'tia looks at her Cutimark? (I think it must have been The Cutie Mark Chronicles now, but having read though your post the first time I though you were talking about Heats Warming Eve. Which was strange cause I didn't think 'tia was in that One, having re-watched it. She wasn't... |
