Still don't understand why he was out in the open in the first place. The only thing that explains it is that Celestia puts her political enemies on display, which is the only thing that offers any sort of credence to the whole tyrant thing.

I say she thought he wouldn't escape, so he put him on display for her amusement. However, the NMM Fiasco was the start of the events leading up to exactly what Celestia thought wasn't going to happen in the first place. The rest of the statues are just statues. |
