A fictional character that's still regarded as fiction in a fictional setting that is essentially a recolor of another character has almost as much art and fan fic as some secondary characters.

Daring Do is an adventurer who outwits bad guys and dodges death on a regular basis, and we're a fanbase made of mostly males.
Of course Daring Do is gonna be super popular in the fanbase, males in particular love a good action hero. Not trying to exclude female fans here, I'm only saying what I know, and I know that any guy has a little bit of appreciation for a character such as Daring Do |
