That special was a bit of a let down for me, Matt Smith was great but the young boy had no acting skill even for a child he was bad.

Man did that special blew like the wind. The actress that played the mom sucked, Matt Smith didn't get much time to do anything beyond silly & sad, overall a let down except for the ending with Amy & Rory.

It's like the only way for Doctor Who to do a X-Mas special is to just do a regular episode that just so happen to be set on Christmas or base an episode off of classic story. What's next, "It's a Wonderful TARDIS"?

Moffat better not blow the 50th Anniversary.

"It's a Wonderful TARDIS" ? Wouldn't that be too much like Turn Left?

No, considering Moffat's how DW is going, the Doctor would show someone an alternate universe where said someone doesn't exist via the TARDIS doing some wibbly-wobbly crap.

It managed to get a slight sob out of me in the end, but true, Moffat's not up to the task.

The daughter, I find, did a rather good job on her part. I read she's a fan candidate for the next companion.

Yeah well, "Let's Kill Hitler" blew and Moffat wrote that.
