I've always thought about those types mountain settlements.
What about a floating island like the Angel Island in Sonic 3 or Cave Story? How about a underwater city of Sea ponies? There might be nations other than Equestria governed by other alicorns. My theory is, Celestia is only in control of the Sun in the Western hemisphere and the other hemisphere is controlled another Deity pony or what ever other creatures you can think of. There needs to be an around the world saga in the series. |

Has to be more, but maybe Cloudsdale is the most prominent.
Considering that pegasi provide an entirely vital service, it seems reasonable that they'd mostly be more spread out among other ponies, with cloud towns acting as hubs for rainbow production, weather control hubs, and centers of flight. |

There's gotta be other cloud cities. I'd think there'd be other pegasi settlements on the ground as well. Maybe established by pegasi that would rather stay on the ground like Fluttershy. |
