I might as well say again that I'm disappointed by how airy this post is. A bunch of generalities. All he really says is "calm down". He doesn't offer any information and his "she'll be fine" section is ambiguous especially since he immediately follows it up by playing Derpy down. |

Are you dense? That was on her expression. "She'll be fine" means, funnily enough, she'll be fine. If the studio only found out about it recently, that further points the finger at iTunes. You SHOULD calm down, stop being so fucking melodramatic. |

Time for some text interpretation:
"I didn't know about Derpy until someone form the Studio pointed it out." seems to be taken by somepeople as "I didn't know about the changes in Derpy until told". But it can also mean "I didn't know Derpy, a fanbase character based on a background pony, existed at all until told." "She will still have the same Derp face expression and stuff", altough assuring us the character design won't change, also does not make any promises of further interaction with the mane cast. Which isn't at all unexpected, but is still sad. Now, those are all the points I had some controversial feeling about the statement. Feel free to disagree with me. Also, the love and tolerate part is very correct, and we should take it to heart. |

That's totally computer nerd territory. And what the hell is Apple made up of? Yes, you got it. And as the now-biggest-company-in-the-world why WOULDN'T they be able to change something pre-emptively if they thought it could offend someone? $30-60 dvd vs a $500 ipod sale. Do teh math. There is every possibility they contacted Hasbro to ask Tabitha and Ashleigh to dub the lines they sent, without seeing the changes Tabitha and Ashleigh say the lines (thus leading to the 'first reading' sound of it), it gets sent back to Apple, and they edit them in themselves on their own software. Ya'll underestimate the power of the distributor when it comes to the end product. Just remember what happened to Vlassic when they made a deal with the retail devil, Wal-Mart. |
