But what if it does? What if Spike dies and Twilight can't move on without him? What if Celestia goes to comfort Twilight, and Equestria suffers because Luna can't pick up the slack? What if Discord breaks free again and takes over Equestria while its defenses are down? What if that's a really bad story but they go with it anyway?

I liked Luna coming back. I still dislike that they changed her appearance, especially with no explanation. (I don't think her new look is bad or anything, and if they had had her look like that to start with I'd have no problem, but why the fuck did they change it???)
I care more about Luna than about Derpy, but no one else does so I just seethe quietly and plot my ultimate revenge. |

Luna was great and as far as I saw it most people thought so.
Lauren leaving the show... yeah sure it sucked but season 2 is still pretty good so far. Cherimac episode wasn't all THAT bad, since the paring is far from being canon and even if, shippers don't care about canon at all. Derpy: Yes. And for the wedding episode it still goes: Shippers don't care about canon. |

I believe the reason Luna is on there, yet on such a low setting, is because there was an expectancy of a backlash, yet after she arrived everyone was cool with it, hence giving us a standard upon which we can judge all the other ragefests. |

Left out the other twe Derpy shitstorms (when she get her scene, people trying to say she's still Ditzy and the initial whining bout ableism, also the welovefine shirt name changing) I see.
Wedding? Naw. The real shitstorm will be when a main character gets a date. Big Mac/Cheerilee is, like Spike/Rarity, not really stated one way or another for sure. While Spike/Rarity is more likely, we'll probably never see those two together again. Satus Quo is God and all. One of the mane 6 getting a boyfriend and it actually staying til the next episode would be such a huge shitstorm, and the wedding wouldn't be since they're already together and all. |

None of those were really big deals at all except for Derpy since that was a true retcon.
Even if they have a wedding, people will get over it. It's not the same as Hasbro or some outside influence bullying the animation studio into changing something. Even if Nyx becomes legitimized, that changes little. It's just another character. People made a tizzy that electricity was a thing in Equestria, but people got over it. |
