The way I see it is, if something is deemed offensive by even a very small group of people, Then the host of the "offensive" material MUST take measures to make it non-offensive. If they don't, then they run the risk of a fine or having a suit carried out on them. Hasbro didn't change Derpy out of spite, they did it because they had to. I think everyone should stop bitching, and go do something constructive. |

This image would have been fine if they were responding to an actual butthurt complaint instead of one of the better articulated and rational summaries of the issue.
Also, if changes must be made to avoid offending a group, then why does that not also apply to when people are offended by the changes? |
