Glue is made from the boiled down bones, skin, and ligaments of horses and cows. Old race horses who can no longer compete or breed are stereotypically some of the first to be sent in for rendering. |

Only animal glues are made from rendered animal by-products. There are plant glues and chemical-based glues, too. |

Clear wet glues use chemically altered gelatin - pork skin source. Paste is made from unaltered pork skins, and I've heard it tastes like wet pork rinds. Me? No way, I'm vegetarian. |
