Speedy Gonzales was pulled because they were worried about the character being an ethnic stereotype. The ironic thing is that fans of the character, including lobbying by the League of United Latin American Citizens, demanded he be put back. Speedy also remains a very popular character in Latin America.

For all the dumb fucks who can't read text longer than 2 sentences :

ONE OF THE ACTUAL ANIMATORS SAID THAT THEY'LL KEEP DERPY IT'S ONLY THE JEWS BEHIND ITUNES WHO WANTED TO ALTER THE EPISODE , THE TV VERSION WILL BE FINE!!!!!

Jessica Rabbit 2000?? Try in 1994 when viewers went frame-by-frame on the laserdisc and discovered a frame debated to show her without panties.

Hold on a sec. Let's analyze this like intelligent people.

Allegedly, Derpy's name was copyrighted. They probably pulled it to avoid lawsuits, considering that everyone in this country is eager to sue each other out the ass.

Derpy's voice actor was working under the assumption that Derpy was male. It's entirely possible that revoicing her was in the works from the very beginning and just didn't get done in time for the episode.

The eyes...I dunno.

So while all of this could be PR work, it's also possible that these are legitimate fixes. Also, I don't really know what I'm talking about.

Another question: Has The Last Roundup even been shown on TV since its initial airing? Does anybody remember?

If parents have trouble with TV shows, they don't have to watch if they don't want to. There's no need to spoil others enjoyment.
There should be a choice for audiences to pick between which version of the show based on preferences: Original or Edited
Those who have issues with Derpy can watch the edited iTunes version. While the rest can watch the Original. Keep both options available.
Get what I mean?

@marioandsonic The original Speedy kicked ass. He was clever, witty, and LITERALLY FAST (unlike the current one). Plus, he got away with calling Sylvester "una pussy gato".

Don't worry. Europe already has draconic politically correct censorship put in place. Australia simply bans anything that is slightly offensive. Canada doesn't allow anything even resembling lolis. Japan can't show nudity on TV anymore and force people to buy Blurays.

I hate how no one things stereotypes are good. Some people do have certain personalities. If every character had to have different "non stereotyped" personalities, then sooner or later these new personalities will become the new stereotype and it will be changed again in the future.

Can't we all just agree that sometimes some characters show certain behaviors, and that doesn't make them a stereotype?

Somewhat disturbed by how similar Derpy's situation is to Speedy now...
White bitches bitched about Speedy, mexicans lose out on their positive cartoon portrayal.
Non-disabled folk bitch about Derpy...
On the upshot this means there will probably be canon Derpy merch released in non-anglo/pussy countries, as she gets adopted by the disabled communities there.
I can't wait for Persian Derpy.
