Reminds me of the time we did Alice in Wonderland as our school play and I ended up being the Red King.

It was kinda funny being a complete bitch.

^But... the Red King is doormat. The Queen is the bitch.

^It was one of THOSE school plays. The kind where no regard is given to who plays what.

You're confusing "Alice in Wonderland" with "Through the Looking Glass" here.

In Alice in Wonderland, it was the Queen of Hearts who was going around yelling "off with their heads!". Her husband the King of Hearts was a wimpy character who always pardoned the condemned prisoners when the Queen wasn't watching.

In Through the Looking Glass, Alice was a "pawn" in a duel between the Red and White pieces of a chess-game. The White King was portrayed as a muddled old man, but the Red King was a truly creepy character. All he did was sleep, but according to Tweedledee and Tweedledum, all of the Looking Glass world, Alice included, were things he was dreaming. Supposedly, if the Red King awoke, the Looking Glass world--and Alice--would simply disappear.

^ I partially blame Tim Burton for said confusion.

True, Anon, he really made a hash of the storyline in his adaptation.

Wait, wait, wait a minute.

I meant I was her(the red queen's) bitch, not that I was being a bitch in my attitude. Sorry for the confusion.
