I'm not convinced the change has "killed" her, if only because I'm unsure about how widespread this change is.
She's still "Derpy" on Hasbro's site, right? The Friendship Express DVD still has it, right? Is the public re-broadcast on the Hub the iTunes version or no? Not to mention, it's not like we don't have the Last Roundup's original version floating about the intertubes. Now, my jimmies will be just as sufficiently rustled as any of yours, friends, if any of the above has been compromised. I loved Derpy, just as you did, and this would indeed be a disgrace - I'm not trying to downplay that. |

------------------ I'm a 35 year old guy and I LOVE My Little Pony, Friendship Is Magic. Derpy was one of the great things that happened to the show. I was overjoyed when I finally heard her talk and it felt like a big hug from you guys. But then, some trolls/haters and oversensitive fans that had their own "Ditzy Doo" in mind complained. Their whines somehow succeeded to drown the majority's acclamations of joy. This is sad. I kinda agree for the new, more feninine voice. At some limits, she could underp her eyes from times to times to be more focused. But removing and censoring her name is a low blow that could lead to more removal of other "offensive" material. ANYTHING CAN BE OFFENSIVE TO ANYONE. So please, bring Derpy back and don't weild to small minor groups that want to remove the fun in everything. I am proud to be a Brony, and I'm looking forward to a Blue Ray set of MLP:FIM for all the seasons, with special feature and everything (multiple languages required). I WANT TO SUPPORT THIS SHOW WITH MY MONEY! I even bought some pony toys. I plan to buy more, thanks to the greatness announced at Toyfair. (See picture). I also bought way more that is shown on the picture for my 10 year old neice who LOVE MLP. She don't even speak a word of english but she enjoy watching the show with me. (I translate the original English on the fly for her) Her mom, my 34yo sister is the same and she was overjoyed to see and hear Derpy talk for the first time. Anyway, my hopes for an official Derpy pony doll have been crushed. Crushed in the name of the politically correct. Please, you guys gave us something great, something amazing with MLP:FIM. And it keep getting better and better with each episodes. Please keep up the good work and don't destroy that community masterpiece that is MLP:FIM. Give Derpy some love!
