If the Doctor was still alive, that shit never would have happened.
My headcanon is the Wasteland finally killed him. It takes no prisoners and tolerates no shit. I think the characters mention him, actually. Something like "If the Doctor existed or was still alive, we wouldn't be living like this now would we?" |

^Impious, in one episode of Doctor Who, it is established that some events are simply unavoidable, no matter what the Doctor does.
In one such episode, the Doctor finds himself in a doomed Moonbase (or was it on Mars?) where the people there would all perish. At first, he accepted it as an event that he cannot prevent from passing, but then he back tracks and starts fighting anyway. At first he appears to have been successful, but he starts to go mad with power, so much so that the lone survivor he managed to save is mortified by the Doctor and commits suicide in order to restore the timeline to how it was meant to be. Anyway, this reminds me strongly of all of those Doctor Who themed mods available for Fallout 3. |
